The unboxing was a moment filled with anticipation and excitement. Gazing upon the sleek design of the drone, I couldn't help but marvel at the technological prowess nestled within its compact frame. However, it became evident that this was not merely a toy; it was a sophisticated instrument requiring skill and patience to master. 🔋 Battery Life & Adaptability: While the drone's limited battery life was an initial concern, I quickly adapted to the rhythm of swapping batteries, ensuring that my aerial adventures were barely interrupted. This minor inconvenience paled in comparison to the joy and freedom of flight it offered. 🔄 From Beginner to Enthusiast: The transformation from a beginner, unfamiliar with the nuances of FPV flying, to an enthusiast skillfully navigating through the nooks and crannies of my home has been astonishing. The intuitive learning curve, supported by the quality of the product, has ignited a passion for not just flying drones but venturing into building my own.
The drone itself is quite impressive. It appears to be specifically designed to introduce people to the hobby. Although I've spent numerous hours in simulators, giving me a grasp of flying, I was uncertain of how the drone would respond in reality. Hence, I began my first flight in hover mode. Transitioning to sport mode only necessitates considering throttle control, while switching to manual mode unleashes its full capabilities. These modes are toggled via a switch on the controller, with another switch adjusting PIDs through slow, mid, and fast presets. These presets primarily affect the craft's rotational speed in three-dimensional space. While I didn't notice a significant difference in throttle response, there might be some. The tuning makes switching between modes feel quite intuitive, resembling a takeoff procedure—hovering off the ground, maneuvering into position in sport mode, and then fully unleashing in acro mode. Sport mode is quite enjoyable too and doesn't feel overly restrictive, akin to training wheels.
Overall, it's a delightful little drone. It boasts good range relative to its size and responds well to the included radio controller. Additionally, it can be used with simulators using the provided USB cord. The goggles are straightforward to use, which is beneficial for FPV newcomers. Although they lack vision adjustment (which is typical for this price range), they accommodate most glasses wearers. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to enter the hobby, or as a gift for older children and teens.
Embarking on this journey, I was a complete novice, with no prior experience in FPV drones. The initial phase was daunting, filled with crashes and near-misses, reminiscent of a fledgling bird learning to fly. But, as with any skill worth acquiring, perseverance paid off. Gradually, the controls became extensions of my own senses, allowing me to perform intricate maneuvers and fly with confidence. This drone became my trusted companion, guiding me through the intricacies of FPV flying with every flip and turn. The learning curve was not without its challenges. Mastering the controls required patience, practice, and a fair share of mistakes. However, each error was a lesson in disguise, teaching me the delicate balance between control and freedom. The drone's design and responsiveness played a crucial role in this learning process, offering a forgiving yet precise platform for honing my skills. An unexpected glitch with the joystick could have been a setback, but the responsive customer service team at BetaFPV turned it into a positive experience. Their quick resolution and support highlighted the company's commitment to their customers and their passion for the FPV flying community. This level of care and attention to detail is what sets this experience apart from others. The transition from struggling novice to confident pilot was swift, thanks in part to the drone's intuitive design and the supportive FPV community.
My adventure into the realm of FPV drone flying has been an unforgettable journey, filled with challenges, learning, and an overwhelming sense of achievement. This drone has not just been a tool for exploration but a gateway to a new world of aerial possibilities. Starting with zero experience in FPV flying, the initial hurdle seemed insurmountable. The first few flights were a mix of awe and anxiety, as I struggled to keep the drone stable and navigate through even the simplest of courses. But, like any great adventure, the true joy lies in the journey, not just the destination. Slowly but surely, with each flight, my skills evolved, and what once seemed impossible became a thrilling reality. The path to becoming proficient was filled with ups and downs, quite literally. Each crash and misstep was a learning opportunity, gradually building my confidence and understanding of the drone's capabilities. The intricate dance of flying FPV became second nature, allowing me to explore my surroundings from a breathtaking aerial perspective. The drone proved to be an exceptional teacher, challenging me to push my limits while providing a stable and responsive platform for my aerial escapades. This journey has ignited a passion not just for flying but for the mechanics and creativity behind drone building. What started as a hobby has blossomed into a fervent desire to learn more about the engineering and design of FPVs. The drone has opened the door to a world where the only limit is my imagination. For anyone on the fence about starting their FPV journey, take the leap; the skies await with endless possibilities and undiscovered adventures. 🌍✨
Despite my son's frequent crashes, this drone has held up remarkably well. Its frame, particularly around the propellers, is sturdier compared to our older blade drones, which I believe significantly contributes to its durability. The reception on the headset is satisfactory, especially for flying around the home and backyard. We experimented with sports mode once and managed to execute a flip, which was quite enjoyable. Overall, it's a well-rounded package where everything functions smoothly.
As my first drone, I've grown to love it over a year of flying. I wholeheartedly recommend it; it suits pilots of all levels, from beginners to advanced. With this starter pack, you have everything necessary to experience real FPV flying. When my son is old enough, I plan to start him on a Cetus kit from BetaFPV, just like I did. This drone is among the finest options for beginners in FPV flying. I recommend familiarizing yourself with its controls either through a simulator or by flying it manually before using the goggles. Doing so significantly enhances your comfort level and proficiency.
I recently took up drone flying as a hobby and decided to invest in this fantastic kit, which has been nothing short of amazing. The kit comes with a controller that fits comfortably in my hands, making it easy to maneuver the drone through the skies with precision. The goggles provided offer an immersive experience that truly makes you feel as if you're soaring alongside your drone, capturing breathtaking views in real-time. What impressed me the most was how user-friendly the setup was, allowing me, a beginner, to get up and flying with minimal fuss. The build quality of the drone is solid, reassuring me that it can handle the occasional bump or scrape. This kit has not only introduced me to the thrilling world of drone piloting but has also significantly enhanced my outdoor adventures, giving me a new perspective on the landscapes I explore.
Upon unboxing, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of everything, given its affordable price. I purchased it primarily to learn FPV flying with my young boys. While I encountered a minor issue, the seller promptly responded and assisted in resolving it. Overall, it exceeded my expectations and has been incredibly enjoyable to fly.
Taking to the skies with this drone kit has been an exhilarating journey. The controller is a dream to handle, offering unmatched precision and ease. Coupled with the virtual reality goggles, my flying experience feels as if I've left the ground myself. The visuals are crisp, pulling me into a world of high-flying adventure. It's a complete package that has not only introduced me to the thrilling world of drone piloting but also captivated my imagination with its immersive flight experience.
I bought this drone for my 15-year-old autistic son, and it has proven to be robust, resilient, and incredibly enjoyable. My 20-year-old also loves it and now wants one for himself. The goggles provide clear visuals and responsive controls. It's undoubtedly the best gift my son has ever received.
This drone is user-friendly and offers remarkable quality considering its price. Its durability, particularly for its size, makes it ideal for learning FPV flying, where crashes and collisions are inevitable. Overall, everything is great, but the only downside is that it comes with only two batteries. It would be perfect if at least one more battery were included in the package. Thanks! My husband and daughter are flying it like pros.
Overall, the product is commendable. However, as someone with far-sightedness, I encountered blurriness on the goggle screen, and unfortunately, there's no adjustment available.
This drone is user-friendly and offers remarkable quality considering its price. Its durability, particularly for its size, makes it ideal for learning FPV flying, where crashes and collisions are inevitable.

This beginner set is excellent, providing everything you need at a reasonable price. The goggles and controller are versatile enough to be used with other drones, allowing you to gradually upgrade your equipment. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to explore FPV for the first time.
It's an excellent starter kit, but I recommend spending time on a simulator beforehand. My only gripe is with the camera, which seems prone to loosening screws after a few crashes. However, this issue can be easily resolved with tape. Additionally, contacting BetaFPV for any concerns or spare parts is hassle-free. In summary, it's a solid kit, although it would earn five stars if it included more batteries. With a flight time of just 3 minutes, having extras is crucial for extended enjoyment.
My inaugural FPV drone experience has been with this little gem. It's sturdy and durable, and once I got accustomed to its speed and the field of view provided by the goggles, flying has been smooth sailing.
Flying indoors with the goggles makes the house feel like a whole new world—a fantastic experience.
It's incredibly easy to set up and fly, perfect for beginners. Outdoor flights are feasible as long as there's minimal wind. It's a worthwhile investment for those interested in FPV without breaking the bank.
This drone was given as a gift to a friend, who subsequently shared a brief video showcasing his drone gear and flying skills. Needless to say, he's thoroughly delighted with it.
Embarking on the drone-flying adventure with this kit has been an absolute thrill. The controller is incredibly ergonomic, offering precise control and responsiveness that makes navigating the skies a breeze. The goggles are the highlight, immersing me into the flight with stunning visuals that make me feel as though I'm truly flying. While everything functions seamlessly and integrates well, this hobby, despite offering beginner kits, demands a steep learning curve, making simulator practice imperative.
